Presenting the Rapier 22, British guitar-designer Alan Entwistle unveils the newest generation of a genuine sixties icon, complete with old-school charm and modern playability. In addition to an African okoume body, this electric guitar has a soft C-profile maple neck that comes topped with a 12"-radiussed rosewood fretboard and twenty-two medium jumbo frets - including a zero fret so the open strings sound nice-and-clear. Ready for rich riffs, the '22' even has an extra-stable Rapier Hi Lo roller bridge and a vibrato tailpiece.

The Rapier 22: Authentic Sounds

While the pickups planted on the Rapier models from yesteryear had a tendency to drop out of phase and lose volume, fortunately, this spanking new model doesn't suffer the same issues thanks to two Entwistle EWR64 mini-humbuckers. What's more, the traditional Rhythm/Solo toggle switch has been replaced with a modern 3-way pickup selector switch, giving contemporary guitarists the option to explore a broad range of sounds. The Rapier comes finished with two volume pots and a tone pot - all three of which feature 0.0015 MFD capacitors so a bright base tone is retained at lower volume levels - plus the two sliders that toggle a bass cut for the neck and bridge pickups.
